Dec. 1, 9:30 Service
Watch as our church is transformed into a place of beauty to celebrate the Advent/Christmas season. Listen to the legends of Christmas as they are brought to us in story, and celebrate the joy of “preparing Him room.” This service is for all ages and will be led by our children, youth, and our wonderful Praise Band.
Dec. 2, Between Services
Prepare your 2019 Advent Wreath with us. All necessary materials for Advent Wreaths and Chrismon ornaments will be on-site. This is an all ages event.
Dec. 2, 6pm
Before the “holiday hustle” begins to take a toll on your energy, take an hour and experience the quiet solitude and beautiful music that centers the soul and opens the heart to God’s indwelling presence in the candle lit contemplative style of Taize worship. All are welcome. God is waiting for you!
Dec. 14 & 15, 6:30pm-8:00pm
See and feel the sights, sounds, and emotions felt at the time of Christ’s birth. Witness the journey as live people and animals walk The Road to Bethlehem. 800 luminaria light your way through ten scenes telling the Christmas Story. If you’ve never been a part of this life-changing event, join us, either in your car, on the walking path, or in costume. You’ll see Christmas in a brand new light!
Dec. 15, 9:30 & 11:oo Services
The Chancel Choir, under the direction of Judy Monson and accompanied by Katie Lauder, piano, and Nancy Mielke, organ, are offering this beautiful Christmas Cantata during these holy holidays!
4:30pm Pageant Service
Experience the story of Jesus’ birth through the participation of children and adults in the service. Any child or adult present this night, whether visitor, family or friend, can join the story without practice. We have enough shepherds’ crooks, angels’ halos and wise men’s crowns for anyone to use that night. Come experience this holy night as we tell the story together.
Christmas Eve Pot Luck
Bring a dish if you are able. Parents, please call the office and let us know how many children will be joining to ensure they have special a gift under the tree.
7pm & 9pm Traditional Service
Through the carols and lessons of the season, we celebrate the birth of Jesus on this most Holy of nights.
At the end of the service, we light our candles to spread the light of Christ throughout the church and into the world.
